Layered paint is removed by heat and scraper, never by aggressive sanders that bruise the timber. Splits, gouges and rotten sections are repaired with timber splices or two-part wood filler so the door is structurally sound before any topcoat goes on.
We paint front doors in Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or any other premium exterior system. Multiple thin coats applied by brush — no spray runs, no orange peel. Door furniture is carefully removed and refitted afterwards.
We replace perished brush seals and weather strips, ease binding hinges, and treat or replace tarnished hinges and locks where needed so the door swings true and seals against the frame.
