Interior Painting & Decorating

We are interior painters and decorators serving Cumbria, the Lake District and Lancashire. Every project we take on — from a single feature wall to a complete whole-house refurbishment — is built on the same foundation: meticulous preparation, premium materials and a hand-applied finish that lasts.

Hand-finished interior decorating — Kendal

Living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms

From characterful Lakeland cottages in Windermere to contemporary new builds in Lancaster, we redecorate rooms throughout the home. Walls are filled, sanded and sealed before paint is even opened. Woodwork is degreased, primed and finished in oil-based or modern water-based enamels depending on the look and durability you need.

Whole-house refurbishments

We regularly take on larger projects — newly purchased homes, post-extension redecoration or full interior refreshes. We plan the sequence carefully so trades flow logically, dust is contained, your floors are protected, and you can keep living in the parts of the house we aren't working in.

Premium paint, properly applied

We work with Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint & Paper Library, Mylands and Dulux Trade. Colour matching, finish selection (matt, eggshell, satin) and number of coats are recommended based on the room's use, light and the substrate — not a one-size-fits-all formula.

Frequently asked

Questions about interior painting

How long does it take to paint a typical room?+

Most standard rooms (walls, ceiling and woodwork) take 2–3 days when prepared properly. Larger rooms, heavily damaged walls or high-gloss woodwork can take longer — we'll give you a realistic timeframe up front.

Do you supply the paint?+

Yes. We use trade accounts with Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Dulux Trade, which we pass on at our cost. You're welcome to supply your own paint if you prefer.

Can we stay in the house while you work?+

Absolutely. We work tidily, contain dust, and plan the sequence so you always have rooms you can use. Most clients stay in the home throughout.
